Systems thinking introduces a large number of concepts that describe the activity of creating successful systems. Of course, you can just take it and do it without saying anything to anyone. However, if we want to create a complex system, then we need not only to negotiate with different specialists, but also to create a large number of models in order to satisfy numerous stakeholders. Imagine a car system, and the number of descriptions/models that need to be created before it gets to the buyer.

To understand systems, you need to be able to discuss them from different points of view. I will not talk here about the interests of the driver, passenger, pedestrian, owner of a car concern, mechanic-repairman or environmentalist. Although their interests are important. But I want to touch upon a methodological consideration, which also has its own interests.

Let’s talk about what a physical object is, system behavior (function, service) and a functional object. It is necessary to understand these concepts before engaging in a systematic description of the system. This is the subject of study of the transdiscipline of systems thinking.
