The second problem, which has recently assumed unimaginable proportions, is the standardization of school curricula and the regulation of teacher’s actions. I mean furious arguments about certain works that should or should not be included in the school curriculum. I am a schoolteacher with seventeen years of experience. And thank God, I taught in those years when it was possible to calmly follow Pushkin’s commandments from his poem “From Pindemonti”: “Do not give a report to anyone /, only to yourself.” It was up to me to decide what I teach and what aids I use. And on the way out, I am sure, there was some result. And regulation is the enemy.
