Habitat:
Ascaris is present in man and cattle.
Size:
They are larger in size than other nematodes.
Nutrition:
They suck the digested food from intestine.
Reproduction:
It lays millions of eggs in intestine. These eggs are excreted out with un-digested food.
Harmful Effects:
- i) Sometimes it makes a hole in intestine and enters in other organs i.e. Liver, Heart and Lungs etc.
- ii) If they are present in greater number than they block the way of intestine which can lead to death.
