Jordana was conceived in Toulon, France, to French parents who had Algerian ancestry, and Algerian grandparents. Her father, Hachemi Aliouane, is from Berber Kabyle stock, while her mother, Zélihka Riad, hails from the city of Oran. She spent her childhood in La Londe-les-Maures with her older sister and younger brother. Her sister was the more experienced of the two. Jordana, who was just sixteen years old at the time, made the decision to compete in the seventh season of Nouvelle Star in Marseille.
She sang an arrangement of What a Superb World by Louis Armstrong, which was successful in winning over the judges. She finished in third place overall. Following her passing, she signed a recording contract with Sony Music and released her first self-titled album on March 29, 2010. It managed to debut at position number nine on the SNEP Album Chart in France after its first week of sales totaled 10,169 copies.
