Story Summary
The plot revolves around Daniel Murad (Deen), a successful businessman born to a Pakistani father and an African mother. Because of his dark complexion, Daniel faces lifelong emotional neglect and colorism from his stepmother, Nadia Begum, and ungrateful stepsiblings. Despite his immense wealth and selflessness in supporting them, Daniel is treated with constant coldness, instilling deep-seated insecurities within him.
Daniel is married to Sarah, a loving woman who manages his household and loves him unconditionally. However, feeling insecure about his appearance, Daniel initially believes Sarah stays with him only for his money, creating emotional distance between them as he tries to appease his stepfamily.
The turning point occurs when his stepbrother disrespects Sarah. After a series of betrayals, Sarah leaves for her parents' home, forcing Daniel to confront the reality of his toxic stepfamily. Realising their ultimate greed, Daniel hands over properties to his stepsiblings and leaves the family home. Through sincere repentance, he wins back Sarah's forgiveness. Years later, when Nadia Begum is abandoned by her own biological children after a stroke, Daniel and Sarah step forward to care for her, completely replacing past bitterness with forgiveness and grace.
