Story Summary

The plot centers around Heer Inam and Raahim Hasan, whose grandfather performs their nikah when Heer is just one year old and Raahim is eight. Growing up in a traditional joint family, the two develop opposite personalities: Heer grows into a lively, movie-loving girl who complains about being married off as a baby, while Raahim becomes a strict, highly educated, and serious businessman.

To protect her innocence and maintain boundaries, Raahim keeps a stern and disciplined exterior toward Heer during her teenage years. However, after her formal Rukhsati, Heer faces the realities of marital life, initially viewing Raahim as a cold "villain."

Through humorous everyday situations, family trips, and the wise guidance of their aunt Faiza, Raahim slowly sheds his harsh demeanour to reveal his deep, unconditional love for Heer. Realizing that his strictness was only a shield to protect her, Heer softens and falls completely in love with him. Parallelly, the novel follows the sweet romance between Heer's cousin/best friend Rida and Raahim's friend Mehran Somro.
