Her early life and career began in Rennes, where she was conceived. Both of Bourgoin’s parents worked as teachers at the secondary level, and they encouraged their daughter to choose a profession that would be consistent. At the École des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, she spent a significant amount of time reading. She began her career in the modelling industry while simultaneously pursuing a career as a plastic expressions teacher.
Some of her first and most notable work in the modelling industry was done for the photographer Ian Sanderson. After receiving his diploma in 2004, Bourgoin began working as a moderator for the television show Kawa! that is broadcast on the Filles TV channel. After a period of two years, she made an appearance on Direct 8. She collaborated with TV moderator Marc Lacombe on a test case programme for Playstation TV at the same time. This television time slot was never used for programming, and the pilot was only sometimes used.
She was the climate young woman for Le Grand Journal with Michel Denisot in 2006, which is a show that airs every day on Canal+. Bourgoin decided to go under the pseudonym “Salomé” so that she would not be mistaken by large crowds for the person Le Grand Journal moderator Ariane Massenet.
