Short Note on Liver Fluke

 

It is an internal parasite. It belongs to phylum Platyhelminthes.

 

 

Habitat:

 

It lives in lungs, liver, stomach and intestine of other animals.

 

 

Life Cycle:

 

It has two hosts

 

  1. i) One stage is in man, sheep or goat etc.

 

  1. ii) Other is in the body of snail.

 

 

Structure:

 

  1. i) It has leaf like structure.

 

  1. ii) Oral sucker is present around the mouth.

 

iii) A sucker is also present at ventral side. It helps it to remain attach with host.

 

 

Nutrition:

 

It sucks food by oral sucker.
