In the 190 countries on the planet, it is estimated that nearly 1.6 billion pupils and students have been affected in their educational process due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This means that 94% of young people in school on the planet have had to adapt overnight, as institutions have been taken aback by the confinements. A large part of them had to go digital to ensure educational continuity.

In the most developed countries of the European Union, the switch to distance learning courses via digital technology has sometimes been chaotic, but overall, educational continuity has been ensured.
