Hick was featured in a recovery of the Louis Nowra play The Golden Age by the Sydney Theater Company in 2016, and both her portrayal and her dance received praise for their respective efforts. This campaign soon became a “energising cry” of Indigenous Australians fighting to keep their families together in the face of evacuations.
