The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences is a place where academic excellence and student satisfaction go hand in hand to provide a unique higher education experience for our students.
Our portfolio of programs has been developed in consultation with industry, ensuring that our degrees provide the academic knowledge and practical skills that employers want and need. This ensures that our graduates will be highly successful in the job market, many of whom will go on to work in blue chip companies.
In our latest review of the quality of higher education at Reaseheath, the Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) praised the quality and expansion of student learning opportunities. They found no areas for improvement and identified many good practices.

Our objects
In recent years, £50m has been invested in on-campus facilities including an equestrian center, an industry-leading food centre, sports facilities, a scientific horticultural farm unique to the UK, and an animal center and zoo.
Another £31m in our student residence, agrotech center and sports facilities is planned over the next four years.

Our degree programs provide you with the opportunity to study a range of secondary qualifications. These specific qualifications are accepted along with your course and provide an opportunity to earn industry-recognised qualifications.
Additional qualifications apply to each subject area. We strive to provide these as part of your training program where possible, but some may have a subsidized cost.
Employers often need industry qualifications in addition to a degree, so these practical qualifications can improve career prospects and job opportunities. They offer the industry skills and skills that employers are looking for and offer graduates a leading position in the competitive job market.
