How is the backlighting of the screens of e-books arranged? To organize the backlighting, an additional transparent layer is organized in the upper layer of the screen, at the end of which there are backlight LEDs (usually in the lower part of the screen). The light from these LEDs propagates in this layer, as in an optical fiber, illuminating the screen. The latest innovation in backlight technology is a backlight with adjustable color tone (so called “color temperature”). For this, LEDs of two colors are located in the backlighting system: yellow (orange) – to create a “warm” tone; and blue (blue-white) – to create a “cold” tone.
