How to calculate GPA?
One of the important parts of preparing documents for admission is the calculation of GPA, that is, the average score of all grades. This is a fairly easy operation, but people sometimes have questions about it. That is why we decided to publish an article on GPA calculation.

The American ranking system differs from the one in that it has 4 points.

Below are the grades and their US equivalent:

1.5 (RF) – 4.00 (US)

2.4 (RF) – 3.00 (US)

3.3(RF) – 2.00 (US)

4.2(RF) – 0 (USA)

The US grading system includes sub-scores such as “A-” (i.e. 5-), so they can have a score between 4.00 and 3.00

Please note that American universities usually accept foreign students with scores from 3.00 to 4.00.
How to calculate GPA
After that, it is important to perform a few more actions:

1. Sum up all the points that you received;

2. Divide them by the number of disciplines for which you received these points.

Pay attention to what kind of GPA the university requires from you. For example, it could be the GPA for the last three grades of high school or two years of university. Keep in mind that many universities ask you to evaluate the courses you have taken. When calculating the GPA, you can only use the points of those courses that have successfully passed the evaluation.
